Chili Cook-off 2008
With more than 20 entries in the 2008 Fortuna Chamber of Commerce Chili Cookoff, the competition was heated and at times cutthroat. Kicking off Fortuna’s Rodeo Week, the Chili Cookoff was enjoyed by a crowd of more than 1,000 hungry chili connoisseurs.
This year’s distinguished judges included Supervisor Johanna Rodoni, Mayor Pro-Tem Pat Whitchurch, Sheriff Gary Philp, Clint Victorine and Lisa Sarvinsky-Gamboa. The mandatory fire extinguisher must be behind the photographer.
